After rehearsing our presentation multiple times we made a few minor adjustments so that we fitted it within a 6 minute time limit. Unfortunately this meant we couldn't go as in depth as we would of liked to as we thought it would be more important to get across key points mentioned in the chapter. Our final Presentation can be viewed here:
The slides above are the ones I used.
It's also a good idea to keep it simple rather than rambling on for too long. Your aim should be to communicate your ideas or educate the audience - body language, smiling and keeping eye contact with the audience are also important things! I read up on more tips here Effective Presentations -which is basically the exact same thing Conánn told us in class. Personally I think I performed a lot better on this presentation in terms of actually focusing on the audience and what I was telling them rather than staring at the laptop or projection. Our team also did a pretty good job too and the rehearsing definitely paid off!
We also got told how to layout our presentations in a more suitable way either by using a grid or making it clear which parts where most important (that we wanted to direct attention to most). So this would be like the titles being first, the sub headings second and then what follows after that- if we want the audience to notice certain parts we need to make it clear, concise and laid out in a way that they can follow. The feedback and tips are certainly something to take into consideration for next time.
